Damien E. Cross is a writer and traveler.
The Crossroads Journal is his public archive of essays, poems, field notes, letters, and fragments gathered from the road, the desk, the desert, and the interior life.
The writing began in Kathmandu, in the bars and rooftops of Thamel, then followed the roads of India and Southeast Asia by motorcycle, bus, camel, and boat. Almost always by accident or luck. Years later, that same habit of observation followed him through deployment in the Middle East, where the road took a different shape. Explorer in practice, nomad at heart.
Some experiences wither in summary. Some are too important to let disappear. The rooms here exist for that exact reason. A poem raises language to the level of feeling. A field note preserves what memory eventually softens. An essay carries thought toward knowledge. A letter says what could not be said at the time. A fragment keeps faith in the unfinished.
The Crossroads Journal is built from those pieces.
Literature, travel, ritual, and a life well lived.
